Description

Aqara TVOC Air Quality Monitor – Small and functional air quality sensor with premium design

Aqara TVOC Air Quality Monitor detects TVOC in the air, temperature and humidity. Along with Aqara’s Zigbee 3.0 hub, such as Aqara Hub M2, Aqara Camera Hub G2H, it can use TVOC concentration or level, temperature, and humidity changes as conditions of automation, work with other smart home devices to implement various smart scenarios and send notifications to your mobile phone. For example, if the TVOC level exceeds the set value, a notification can be sent to you and the air purifier automatically turns on.

Features:

  • Zigbee 3.0 Protocol: Enjoy the benefits of the fastest, most stable, and energy-efficient smart home technology.
  • Triple Sensors for a Multidimensional Detection: Built-in multiple chemical sensors developed via advanced electrochemical and semiconductor technology solutions to ensure stability and accuracy. The temperature and humidity compensation algorithm can effectively reduce the influence of environmental change and the reading resolution can be refined to 0.01mg/m3.
  • Always-on E Ink Screen: Equipped with a dot-matrix E Ink screen that is similar to paper and protects your eyes.
  • 1-Year Battery Life: Consumes very little energy, and can last for more than 1 year without changing batteries.
  • Magnetic Mount: Multiple placement methods and easy magnetic detachment.
  • Smart Automations: With the Zigbee 3.0 protocol, it can work with other devices via a hub for cloud and local automation.

* A Zigbee hub is required

** To work with Apple HomeKit, a compatible Aqara Hub is required

Frequently Asked Questions

Q

How to make sure that the sensor is connected with the hub?

A

Push the reset button of the Motion Sensor. If the hub sounds the voice prompt “Connection is normal” or “beep”, it means that the communication between the sensor and the hub is normal and working; if there is no voice prompt, try to connect the sensor to the hub again; if there is once again no voice prompt, the battery of the sensor may be dead, so replace the battery and try again.

Q

What causes the sensor connection error? How should I connect again?

A
  1. The device may be too far away from the hub. Try to move the sensor closer to the hub and re-add the device.
  2. Make sure the hub has successfully connected to the network.

Q

What are the possible reasons why the sensor gets frequently offline?

A
  1. The device is too far away from the hub;
  2. The battery is low or dead;
  3. The sensor is installed on a metal surface and the signal is disturbed. Avoid metal surfaces as they disturb the connection.

Q

How to reset the sensor? Under what circumstance?

A

Press and hold the reset button of the device for 5 seconds, the indicator light will flash 3 times, and then the factory settings are restored.

Q

Why does the TVOC value not be displayed for a period of time after start-up, network connection or battery replacement?

A

At the moment, the sensor is being initialized, and the value is temporarily not displayed until the data is stable and reliable. This period of time lasts about one or two minutes.

Q

Why does the screen display update slowly?

A

To reduce power consumption, the display will update only when the data changes.

Q

How to switch the interface?

A

Double clicking the button can switch the interface.

Q

Can it work normally below 0 ℃?

A

When the temperature is lower than 0 ℃, the screen display may not work well. When the temperature is higher than -20 ℃, the data can be collected and reported normally.

Q

Why does the screen flicker sometimes?

A

This is determined by the characteristics of the e-ink screen, and the screen flickering may occur several times when it is refreshed, which is normal.
