Description
Aqara Multi-State Sensor P100 Kit
One Sensor, Every Subtle Change
Aqara Multi-State Sensor P100 Kit offers two monitoring modes — Open/Close or Object Monitoring, with only one active at a time to ensure optimal accuracy. The sensor delivers fast and reliable detection of orientation, movement, falls, vibration, and open/close events. Supporting Zigbee and Thread, it integrates with Apple Home, Alexa, Google Home, SmartThings, and Home Assistant. With self-calibration, AI learning, customizable sensitivity, and clear event logs, all of which reduce false alerts, save battery, and keep your smart home reliable and future-ready.
Aqara Multi-State Sensor P100 Features:
- Object Monitoring: Aqara Multi-State Sensor P100 Kit delivers precise multi-event object monitoring①, detecting orientation, movement, falls, vibration with high accuracy. When changes occur, it instantly reports to the hub to trigger local alarms, app notifications, or smart automations—helping you respond faster and simplify daily routines. Users can select which events to monitor and build state-based automations around object position or stability, making it ideal for security, asset protection, and flexible smart home scenarios.
- Open/Close Monitoring②: Accurately captures every open and close, including hinged, casement, hopper, and composite types, as well as refrigerators or safes. Its compact single-body design allows flexible placement and easy installation, while supporting state-based automations for open/closed status and duration.
- Dual-Protocol with Matter Compatibility: Supports both Zigbee and Thread. Advanced features are available in Zigbee mode via the Aqara Home app, while Thread mode provides Matter-based integration with third-party ecosystems such as Apple Home, Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Samsung SmartThings, and Home Assistant. This makes it easy to expand your smart home with broad compatibility and a future-ready setup.
- Calibration & Self-Learning: Aqara Multi-State Sensor P100 Kit self-calibrates to its installation and surroundings, establishing an initial reference position for precise detection. Adaptive self-learning algorithms continuously refine detection accuracy over time, correcting minor drifts to ensure accuracy and reduce false alerts, keeping your smart home reliable and hassle-free.
- Customisable Sensitivity Levels③: Adjust the sensitivity and reporting intervals so it only alerts you when necessary. By tailoring these settings, you reduce false notifications, save battery, and keep monitoring accurate—giving you a smarter, hassle-free experience.
- Event Logs & Statistics: Keeps a complete log of all events and changes, presented in clear charts. Easily review historical activity of doors, windows, and objects to understand your home at a glance and quickly spot unusual behavior, giving you peace of mind.
- Protective Case for Outdoor Capability Expansion: The Multi-State Sensor P100 Kit comes with a specially designed protective cover, enabling reliable monitoring in outdoor environments. With this, you can effortlessly track mailbox activity, safeguard garden gates, or keep an eye on valuable outdoor assets—giving you peace of mind and complete control, wherever you need it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can Open/Close Detection and Item Guard Mode be used simultaneously?
Item Guard Mode supports Zigbee protocol. Since the two modes use different detection methods, they are mutually exclusive and cannot be used simultaneously. Please select the appropriate detection mode based on your actual usage scenario.
Item Guard Mode supports Zigbee protocol. Since the two modes use different detection methods, they are mutually exclusive and cannot be used simultaneously. Please select the appropriate detection mode based on your actual usage scenario.
This device is suitable for installation on the surface of items that are fixed and stationary in daily use. If installed on items that vibrate frequently, such as washing machines, it will cause the device to be frequently activated, which will rapidly consume battery power and shorten battery life. It is recommended to avoid using it on items and areas with frequent vibration.
What should I be aware of regarding the installation environment?
The device uses a geomagnetic sensor to detect angles. Electrical current and magnetic fields will affect detection accuracy. Therefore, during installation, avoid motor and strong magnetic field areas to prevent interference with the device’s normal operation.
How long can the device battery last?
Under normal usage scenarios with installation on daily fixed stationary item surfaces and non-high frequency triggering, the theoretical battery life is 2-3 years in Zigbee protocol mode, and 1-1.5 years in Thread protocol mode (when joined to a single platform only). Actual device battery life is affected by multiple factors including usage frequency, installation environment interference, number of platforms joined, network signal strength, battery performance, ambient temperature and humidity, etc. Final results are based on actual usage.
Which wireless protocols does the device support?
Supports both Thread and Zigbee protocols, and can be added to the Aqara Home ecosystem or third-party ecosystems that support Matter protocol. When added directly to third-party ecosystems via Matter, the device will function as a Door and Window Sensor, enabling open/close detection.
What are the steps for connecting via Matter?
1) Connect to Aqara Home ecosystem: Open the Aqara Home app, enter the homepage and press “+” in the upper right corner, then follow the on-screen prompts to complete device addition; 2. Connect to third-party Matter ecosystem: Launch the “Add Device” function in the corresponding third-party app, scan the Matter QR code on the device to complete the addition.
What are the steps for connecting via Zigbee protocol?
Enter the Aqara Home app homepage, press “+” in the upper right corner, select the corresponding device model, press to switch to Zigbee protocol, download the corresponding firmware and select a compatible Hub, then follow the prompts to complete the addition.
What are the device's operating temperature and humidity ranges?
The operating temperature range is -10°C~55°C, and the operating humidity range is 0~95% RH (non-condensing). Please note that excessively low ambient temperature may cause battery performance degradation, which will shorten device battery life.
How to quickly obtain the latest firmware when connecting to third-party platforms?
After adding the device to the Aqara Home app, you can directly update the firmware to the latest version on the device settings page. If the third-party platform does not yet support updating to the latest firmware, you can first add the device to the Aqara Home app and complete the latest firmware synchronization by switching the protocol once (firmware is transmitted directly via your phone’s Bluetooth, without requiring an Aqara Hub).
Is the device waterproof?
This device is not waterproof. Please avoid high humidity environments and water exposure to prevent device damage.
